Softpedia Editor's Review for Desktop Calendar XP
|
A simple, eye-catching, customizable calendar
Written by Bogdan Popa on November 10th, 2011
Desktop Calendar XP is a full-featured calendar designed to work on all Windows versions out there and that can bring you a lot more useful information beside telling you which day it is.
Although it’s designed to be a simple way of dealing with dates and tasks, Desktop Calendar XP is pretty difficult to install because the setup kit is protected by a password provided for free when registering for an account on the developer’s website.
And even if it was meant to be stylish, Desktop Calendar XP isn’t quite an appealing product, as the interface seems to be old and boring. It completely lacks stylish and modern elements, but the developer probably paid more attention to its features.
Desktop Calendar XP also comprises a wallpaper manager to help you deal with your desktop backgrounds, a calendar printer, as well as a date calculator to assist you when trying to find out a date on the 200-year calendar the app includes.
Not sure why somebody would need such a tool in a calendar application, but Desktop Calendar XP also has an MP3 player, of course not so powerful as the stand-alone utilities, as well as customizable alarms and a talking buddy.
All in all, Desktop Calendar XP is a nice tool to use if you’re bored and you’re looking for an app to replace the traditional Windows calendar.
