Free Address Book
Free Address Book is a program which offers you a simple solution to managing a contacts book. It can be easily figured out, even by less experienced users.
The interface of the application is clean and pretty intuitive. So, you can create a new contact by inputting personal details (e.g. identifier, personal title, first name, group), company information (e.g. account number, register number), accessibility data (e.g. phone numbers, fax, email addresses), and location details (e.g. country, address).
In addition, you can write personal notes regarding each person. All contacts are listed straight in the main application window. Free Address Book allows you to use a search function and to create groups. Furthermore, you can edit, delete or print contact details, backup and restore the database, import and export contacts to CSV, as well as create custom fields.
On top of that, you can configure printing options when it comes to the visible fields (all, only the filled or selected fields), minimize Free Address Book to the system tray area, as well as pick the default group on startup.
The program runs on a moderate amount of CPU and system memory, is pretty responsive to commands and worked properly during our evaluation; Free Address Book did not freeze, crash or pop up error dialogs. However, there is no help file available. Other than that, this application packs some powerful features for managing a contacts list with ease, in addition to having an intuitive layout.
