RemindMe for Windows 10/8.1

We all have minor and more important events we need to attend to, like family meetings, celebrations, or public presentations. Nowadays, it's difficult to not forget at least one such occasions, so to remember, we opt for simple reminders.

RemindMe for Windows 10/8.1 is an intuitive and user-friendly application that comes only with a few basic options to provide an easy way to set personal reminders.

The setup is done through the Store, which only requires a press of a button and a bit of time for it to be installed. It's wrapped in a clean and self-explanatory interface with the Add button at the top, and the pinned memos in plain sight.

All you need to do is select the reminder type (relative, specific, no notification), enter the text, and based on the mode, other relevant info. For the first option, you have to input the relative time in seconds, minutes, hours, or days, the background color (e.g. red, blue, yellow, green), recurrence if necessary, and sound. The content can be written on the left side of the window.

For the absolute one, a specific date and time are required, quick additions and roundings, tone, alarm, and recurrence. Each memo may be pinned to the Start Screen for quick access. From the settings, it's possible to change the app's main color, default sound and sort.

It would've been nice if the tool gave the option to pick a custom music tone and color for the notes. Plus, you can't protect the tool with a password, in order to keep others from accessing and modifying your data.

Taking everything into account, RemindMe is a useful program that comes in handy for those who need to remind themselves about important upcoming meetings, birthdays or assignments.
