CapiFax is an ISDN-based network fax application which can support from 2 to 30 connections at one time. Each ISDN MSN/DDI (local number) can be configured for one network client so each workstation has a private number.
Shamrock also has ISDN PCI cards for 8 (4 S0) or 30 (S2M) channels. The fax software can be combined with CapiCall on the same PC to share the ISDN channels as required. In combination with NetMail, a fax-to-mail and mail-to-fax gateway for unified messaging is also possible.
Here are some key features of "CapiFax":
· Unlimited network users without expensive additional licenses - transmission, reception, fax polling, fax to mail for your complete network.
· ISDN facilities like logging of calling numbers (CLIP) or suppressing the local outgoing number (CLIR) are supported.
· Up to 8 or 60 channels for reception and transmission with affordable hardware (e.g. Primux 2 S0, 4 S0, 1 S2M, 2 S2M).
· Create PDF files from received or sent fax documents without any additional third-party software.
· Delayed transmission by entering a transmit time in the printer driver dialogue, e.g. during the night for using cheap tariffs.
· LCR (Least-cost router) for using different telephone provider depending on the area code or country code.
· Anti-spam function optionally allows rejecting faxes which do not have a proper ID, or coming from blacklisted numbers.
· Application interface with documented file formats, e.g. for interfacing with a web server or for customer-specified applications.
Requirements:
· ISDN-Adapter
Limitations:
· Runs for two hours after each program start, or for up to 20 sent or received faxes. After this, you only have to restart the fax server program.
