The reason one might want to use such a tool hinges on wanting to record a conversation without notifying the participants. When recording a conversation on Zoom or Teams, the participants will be informed of the matter, so if you want to be a bit sneaky with your methods, this program might come in handy.

When it comes to recording, it's all quite straightforward. Simply hop into a voice call with someone on any of the supported platforms, and hit Start recording within the app. It'll start recording immediately, and you'll be able to stop and pause the operation whenever you want.

Heading into the Options menu will allow you to customize the program's behavior. Recording Autostart can be configured, which will make the tool automatically start recording immediately upon entering a Skype or Teams call. This can be customized even further by adding contacts to the Exception List.

The program can also automatically send a chat message to your conversation partner, informing that you're recording them. This is disabled by default, but you can enable it anytime.

Amolto Call Recorder for Skype is a handy tool to have if you're looking to record your Skype, Teams, and Zoom conversations. Though recording video isn't possible in the Free version, being able to record audio in a more inconspicuous manner should be helpful for some users.
