ePub files are the typical go-to format when dealing with digital books. unfortunately, except for PCs and dedicated hardware, there's not much you can do with a file of that format. And since all you may be interested in the text itself, it should come as no surprise that many of us would prefer if we could turn an ePub file into something else, like a PDF.  ABC Amber ePub Converter is an application that can help you convert documents of the ePUB format to others, including PDF, HTML, CHM, RTF, TXT, DOC and PDB.

The interface of the tool is plain and simple. You can import PDFs by using the file browser or the "drag and drop" method. You can select the output format and initiate the conversion process after specifying the output destination and name. You can view a log file on the bottom part of the screen (date and time, file name, status), change the interface language, as well as set ABC Amber ePub Converter to minimize to system tray.

In the "Options" menu, you can set the program to open the document after conversion, save history, start each topic on a new page, allow multiple instances, set the background color, scale images in the PDF, export CSS, play sound when the tool finishes the conversion, and more. The program takes up a low-to-moderate amount of system resources, includes a help file and didn't pop up any errors during our tests. The text format in the output files is generally good, but not excellent. Also, ABC Amber ePub Converter failed to read several ePUBs during our tests. Batch conversion is not supported in the trial version.

All things considered, ABC Amber ePub Converter is a good tool for converting ePUBs to other document formats, and the fact that it acts fast and efficiently is just a plus.
