LogicalDOC Community Edition is a reliable, Java-based document management system, which enables you to easily work with several types of files. It allows you to store, organize and set the version of the selected files while working in a convenient, comfortable environment.

One of LogicalDOC’s most notable features is the multi-language indexing and search tool, which is capable of localizing large pieces of text within repositories. It also allows you to create and trace queries in the document repositories.

The tool works with powerful Open Source Java libraries, such as GWT Spring, Hibernate or Lucene. This feature makes it a cross-platform application, which is easy to install on several types of operating systems.

Moreover, it supports importing information straight from database management systems, such as MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL or other embedded databases. MySQL is the recommended option for production purposes.

The program opens in the browser and features a modern looking console, which enables you to view and thoroughly analyze the imported documents. The tool relies on standardized, plus web services APIs that can make building custom front-ends much easier and faster.

The program supports importing data from ZIP archives, as well as to modify the document version according to the updates. Tagging documents is supported through TagCloud and statistic data charts can be viewed in the Administration tab.

LogicalDOC allows you to view a full history of changes brought to the currently used document and can easily compare the metadata of certain files. Identifying changes comes easily and you may highlight them for follow-up. Moreover, you can add bookmarks or make notes on the documents.

The tool is standalone and does not require client program installations, which makes it a reliable and convenient tool. Moreover, thanks to its browser integration, it can easily load each time you open it.
