Our very popular product Soccer ScoreSheet was forced into retirement back in 2005 due to its inability to properly support Microsoft Vista, and because the compiler used to create that product was last upgraded by the manufacturer in 1995 (and has long since ceased to be a supported product) we stood no chance of being able to keep that earlier product going.
Remarkably, since Soccer ScoreSheet was retired we have received a constant stream of requests from users who had been very satisfied users of that product who had recently upgraded their systems to Vista, wanting to know how they could upgrade our software. We weren't unfortunately able to help them with that request, until now.
Soccer ScoreSheet has been re-developed from scratch using the very latest Microsoft .NET technologies, ensuring that it should be immune from any future enhancements Microsoft might make with their operating systems. This wasn't a re-implementation of existing source code - it was a complete rewrite from the ground up - taking advantage of the outstanding capabilities that .NET brings.
We have also dropped the 'Soccer' from the name in respect of the many users we know had used the earlier product in other league sports, it will work fine with any sport using a similar league arrangement to that found in soccer (hockey, basketball, volleyball etc), so our view was why put potential customers off by suggesting through the name that the program is limited to just managing soccer leagues?
This new product can import data from the old Soccer ScoreSheet, so in migrating forwards our existing users don't need to throw away all of their earlier data investments. And it comes with major new functionality as well, for example the ability to export data to spreadsheets.
And whereas the old Soccer ScoreSheet had to use an external utility program to create web sites, that functionality is built right into the new program! One click of a button and the program generates hundreds of pages of hyperlinked web site (note: within 30 seconds!) ready for publication on the Internet.
The ScoreSheet was designed to be a sports administration package for managing league based sports, including Soccer, Hockey, Volleyball, Netball and many other sports.
