Open Document Viewer

Open Document Viewer is a simplistic software application whose primary purpose is to display the content of OpenDocument files (ODF), whether they are text (ODT), spreadsheets (ODS) or presentations (ODP).

It integrates a few simple options that should be easy enough to figure out by all types of users, even those with limited experience in such apps.

The installation procedure does not take a long while to finish. As far as the UI is concerned, Open Document Viewer keeps it plain and simple, adopting a normal window with an intuitive structure.

Docs can be opened via the file browser or drag-and-drop method. It is possible to zoom in, use a search function, go to the next or previous page, enable paged viewing mode, and switch to full screen mode. What's more, you can view the source code of the HTML or OpenDocument, file properties (e.g. number of images, characters, words and paragraphs), and print content.

The app leaves a small footprint on system resources, has a good response time and worked well during our tests, without triggering Windows to hang, crash or pop up error messages. Open Document Viewer gets the job done if users are only looking to view Open Document files and not edit them.
