Text Tally

While running Text Tally, all you have to do is copy any text to the clipboard, and it is automatically inserted into the program and Text Tally will display the number of lines, words, and characters in the text.

Have you ever been filling out a form on a website at 1:00 a.m. and came to a field that says "Enter 100 words or less" or "Enter 200 characters or less" or similar?

You type your information, and through bloodshot eyes, carefully count each word or character in your text, complete the rest of the form, confident you've stayed within the stated limit, and hit "Submit" only to be told, "Your description is too long". Then Text Tally is the solution.

Text Tally can also be placed in your system tray to keep it out of the way until you need it. Create a shortcut in your Windows Start Menu's "StartUp" group, and enter "/tray" after the program file name in the command line section of the shortcut properties dialog to start Text Tally automatically when Windows boots and keep it tucked away neatly in your system tray, ready to help whenever you need it.
