VCF Viewer is a compact application designed to help you view the information from multiple vCard files. These files are often used to transfer contact information between programs such as email clients.
The program aims to assist the users which have a lot of files that are not named according to the stored information. If you need to extract a detail such as a phone number of an email address, it can help you avoid opening every file or adding all of them to the contact list.
In order to view the data stored in the business cards you only need to select the folder that contains the VCF files. The program instantly displays the content of the files as a data table sorted alphabetically by file name. The program does not provide a method to locate a file that contains a certain name or address.
Each row displays the content of a VCF file and every cell is identified with the property type. Unfortunately you cannot make any changes to the list or search for a certain detail. If you want to find the name of a business partner you need to identify the column that contains the names and to search for it by scrolling down in the list.
You can use the application to compare the files in order to have an overview on all the contacts. It is a good tool if you do not want to add all the VCF files to the contact list or to open them individually. However, it lacks the ability to extract the contact information such as to add the information to the clipboard.
VCF Viewer can be used to view the content of VCF files and nothing more. If you want to edit the files or to extract the contact details you should look for another solution.
