XML to DTD

XML to DTD is a tiny software application, developed in Java, which provides users with a simple means of transforming XML documents to a DTD format.

The installation process is not a prerequisite, as this product is portable. Consequently, it is not going to add any new items to the Windows registry and hard drive without your permission (as installers usually do), and no leftovers will remain on the disk after you delete it.

You should also know that by placing the program files to a removable data unit, such as a USB flash drive, you make it possible to take it anywhere with you and run it on the fly, on any PC you have access to.

The interface you are greeted by encloses a pretty plain and simple design, as it is only comprised of a few buttons and some boxes. As a result, you can learn how to handle it with ease, even if you happen to have little or no experience with computers.

All you have to do in order to start converting with this small tool is to select any XML from the contents of your hard drive with the help of an integrated file browser, as well as choose the output directory in a similar manner and just click the “Create” button.

To sum up, XML to DTD is a pretty simple, yet efficient piece of software when it comes to converting XMLs to DTDs. A small setback is that batch processing is not supported, yet the response time is good and the CPU and memory usage is low at all times.
