While most of the people are looking into ways to turn text documents into PDF files, others are struggling to do it the other way around, attempting to convert PDFs in text docs.

And although that may seem like piece of cake, it's not, especially when having to deal with tons of text and trying to keep formatting.

That's exactly the goal of A-PDF Text Extractor, a software solution designed to make PDF to text document conversion a breeze, promising not only to work blazing fast, but also to preserve formatting of the original file.

The interface is extremely simple, and you just have to open the PDF file you wish to use and press the “Extract text” button. Everything's intuitive and very easy to use, and the same applies to the settings menu as well.

And since we're already talking about settings, there are dedicated options to either extract all pages or just some user-defined pages, or even choose between odd and even ones.

In addition, A-PDF Text Extractor has the power to place some pieces of text in the header and the footer of the resulting text documents.

There are three different extract types, smart rearrange, in PDF order and with position, all three detailed in the help section of the app.

Unfortunately, the help manual is only available on the official website of the developer, so in case you don't own a permanent Internet connection, you won't be able to access the documentation.

The good thing about the app is definitely its speed, as it works amazingly fast and extract texts from large documents in just a few minutes. On the other hand, it hampers computer performance a little bit and it's pretty obvious that the interface is not the most attractive we've ever seen.

All in all, A-PDF Text Extractor deserves at least a shot. It works quick and easy and gets its job done in minutes.
