PDF Password Recovery

PDF Password Recovery is a simple-to-use application designed to remove owner and user passwords from encrypted PDF documents, in case you have lost or forgotten them.

It features multiple attack methods, supports all versions of Adobe Acrobat (including Acrobat 9), and can be configured with ease by unskilled users.

Setting up this tool is a fast and easy job that shouldn't give you any trouble. It's packed in a user-friendly interface made from a wizard that invites you to get started by selecting the encrypted PDF from the computer, along with the recovery mode: user or owner key.

As previously mentioned, there are multiple password recovery methods available. Brute force tries all possible combinations made of lowercase and uppercase letters, numbers, space and other special symbols, giving you the possibility to exclude any of these items from the task to narrow down the scan time, provided that you remember any details of the password.

Plus, you can put together a user-defined list with symbols to take into account while excluding the rest, as well as set the password length when it comes to the minimum and maximum characters.

The second attack method uses a mask, which is a string of known characters inside the password, whether it's the beginning, ending or in the middle. This third and last attack mode uses a dictionary technique, where you can create a list of all possible password combinations to be run by PDF Password Recovery.

It didn't put a strain on the computer's performance in our tests, running on a low amount of CPU and RAM. No errors popped up and it didn't freeze or crash. Tasks may take a while, depending on the complexity of the passwords. Multiple threads are supported and help documentation is available.

Thanks to its intuitive GUI and options, PDF Password Recovery can be handled by all types of users who have forgotten their PDF passwords.
