There are many applications on the Internet that help you create text documents. One of them is PolyEdit. It's a word processor and text editor with multiple tools and features.

The application takes almost no time to install and it doesn't come with a complicated setup that you would need to complete before you can actually use it.

It comes with enhanced cryptography features (Blowfish 448-bit and SHA-1 algorithms) and it can be used for securing your passwords, since it supports advanced encryption tools.

It also supports pictures, media clips, graphs, equations and many more. Advanced text formatting tools are available, you can adjust paragraph, tabs, add an underline and numbering style.

Aside from that it comes with all usual commands that word editors have, like multi-level undo and redo, purge undo buffer, complex script support (Arabic, Hebrew, Thai, etc.) and various text converters (ANSI/OEM, ROT-13, encrypt/decrypt, etc.).

It has search and replace functions and it allows you to go to a certain line or page in the document. It has font formatting options, including font name and size, bold, italic, underline (several types), strikeout, subscript, superscript, and text color.

You can also add advanced character effects: background color, font weight, space between letters, kerning, offset, protected (read-only).

It comes with advanced print preview, customizable headers and footers and support for page breaks. It even lets you print several pages on one sheet of paper and reverse page order option is supported.

The application doesn't have the option to add footnotes which is quite inconvenient. PolyEdit is a very useful word processor with many complex features, but it does have some shortcomings.
