Rationale is a new argument mapping software from Austhink Software.
Rationale is a high-quality 'argument processing' software. Use Rationale to
create "argument maps", diagrams of reasoning and argument. Rationale will
help professionals (for example, lawyers, analysts, or policy makers) handle
complex reasoning more effectively; and it will help students learn the
fundamentals of good reasoning, critical thinking, and argumentative essay
writing.

· Images - You can now increase the visual richness of your maps by adding images. Create your own icons to annotate a map, or make use of the many available free over the internet. Use portraits to identify the author of a particular claim or note. Or use photos as visual evidence. Insert images with the new "Image" ribbon tab. Or, with the built-in browser, you can drag pictures straight off the web onto the workspace. You can also copy and paste images from image editing programs. Images can be added to any item, claim, reason, objection, note or basis box.
· Dialogue Mapping - Rationale now includes templates for IBIS style dialogue mapping. Dialogue maps can be used to record and clarify discussions concerning complex questions and decisions.
