The setup procedure is speedy. Worth noting is that the program offers to automatically run at every Windows startup and gives you the possibility to disable this option. Moreover, you must have .NET Framework installed, since it was developed with Microsoft's platform.

Once launched, the app hides to the left margin of the screen and signals its presence through an arrow. In order to access the notepad, you have to move the mouse to the left side.

It's possible to create as many tabs as you want, type or paste text, undo your actions, quickly jump to any open tabs from a menu, resort to a basic search function to track down a particular piece of information, print or save data to file, as well as create backups.

QuickEditor can be minimized to the systray to become less intrusive and let you continue with your regular activity on the computer while providing fast access to the notepad and settings.

You can adjust the main window's transparency, set the time before auto-hiding the notepad, modify the default directories for saving contents and backups, hide the app's arrow at startup, move the frame to the right margin of the screen, as well as customize font preferences. Keyboard shortcuts are supported.

It left a small footprint on system resources in our tests, thanks to the fact that it needed a low amount of CPU and RAM. It worked smoothly, without triggering the OS to hang, crash or indicate errors.
