TweakFS String Search & Replace

Although you can’t drag a folder to have it scanned, the built-in browse dialog is easy enough to use. Sadly, you can have sub-folders targeted as well, so you need to know the exact location of the file. All files of the selected type are shown in a list, and content in a different pane.

Two fields need to be filled in, one with the string you’re looking for, while the other with what to replace, but character casing is not taken into account. What’s more, be sure to make a backup of original files, because they’re replaced as soon as you initiate the search and replace function.

All things considered, we come to the conclusion that TweakFS String Search & Replace is a practical application you can use to search and replace text strings in plain text files and HTML documents almost on the spot. Although the set of features feels a little rough around the edges, it deserves a try overall.
