Softpedia Editor's Review for Ant Movie Catalog
|
Manage a list of all your DVD, VideoCD, DivX or CDR movies.
Written by Bogdan Popa on December 28th, 2011
Ant Movie Catalog is an easy to use application that helps you keep your movie collection organized, lending you a hand when it comes to writing down all details regarding a given title.
Although you may find the program a bit too difficult to use, it's only a matter of time until you can take the most out of it. Adding new movies to the collection is impressively easy, and so is the process of saving additional information.
Each movie comes with many predefined fields, such as media label, original and translated title, director, producer, country, category, description, actors, rating, subtitles and languages, but users may also add custom ones using a dedicated tab.
Besides the fact that you have the option to add pictures to every single title, Ant Movie Catalog also comes with dedicated tools to automatically download movie information from the Internet, relying on a huge collection of websites that boast such content.
It's enough to enter the movie title or simply the link where the information is stored and Ant Movie Catalog automatically downloads the details and fills in the predefined fields.
Another great tool bundled into Ant Movie Catalog is the statistic generator that gives you valuable information such as total number of movies, the average movie length, the total movie length, subtitles, actors and producers.
You can sort, list and display the movies however you want, but at the same time you may also view them by grouping all titles by the same field.
Since creating a long catalog may take some time, Ant Movie Catalog also supports importing and exporting from and to Excel files, another Ant Movie Catalog database, Microsoft Access Database, eXtree Movie Manager, Origons and many others.
All things considered, Ant Movie Catalog is one of the best apps of its kind and since it comes with a freeware license, it should definitely be a top pick for you too.
