ShotKeeper is a powerfull software which allows you to categorize, browse, edit, find, and manage photos from your ever-increasing portfolio of digital images.

Importing and categorizing photos can be done through a simple interface, that fits the occasional photographer as well as the professional with thousands of photos.

Add photos from digital cameras and hard disk with the click of a button. Categorize using drag and drop or keyboard. Loss-less image rotation. Select using simple, but powerful tools. Manage storage in a simple view. Copy to backup. Export to different formats and sizes.

Features:

· RAW Support: ShotKeeper now supports RAW files from most popular cameras. This does not mean that ShotKeeper is a RAW converter, but it means that ShotKeeper kan help you organize and review your RAW photos, and start your favorite RAW converter.
· RAW Binary Cache: Another feature unique to ShotKeeper is the RAW Binary Cache, which basically makes a JPEG copy of imported RAW photos, and uses the JPEG in the fullscreen Viewer when reviewing photos. This makes working with RAW photos a lot faster. It is optional to use the RAW Binary Cache.
· Connected Photos: A feature unique to ShotKeeper. Connected Photos lets you connect one or more photos, even across categories, to make it easy to find related photos. This makes it easy to find the original from an edited photo, or when looking at a photo, find all edited and changed copies.
· PSD Support: ShotKeeper can open and show Photoshop files (psd).
· Copy Photos Before Editing: Now ShotKeeper makes it even more easy to edit your photos without changing the original. Copy and Edit, makes a copy of a photo, in either TIFF ot PSD format, and opens it up in your favorite editor making it easy to edit.
· Drastic Speed Improvements: Import speed increased more than five times on large photos, and overall speed is more than twice as fast as version 1.0
· Fast Fullscreen viewer: While you watch a photo the viewer loads the next one, so when going to the next one, there is virtually no waiting time, as the photo is already loaded into memory. The viewer have been totally revritten, providing a much more stable viewer whithout the small bugs.
· Magnifier in Fullscreen Viewer: The fullscreen viewer now have a "magnifying glass" which zooms in on the part of the photo under the mouse cursor, showing it at 100% size.
· USM Preeview in Fullscreen Viewer: The fullscreen viewer now include an Unsharp Mask (USM) Preview. It can apply USM to the photos you are viewing, but does not save it. This can come in handy when looking at and judging photos. Instead of opening it in your photo-editor to see how it looks when sharpened with USM, it's now possible to see that directly in the viewer.
· PhotoRanking: All photos can be rated from 0 to 5. Just hit a key on the kayboard, and all the selected photos are rated, this also works from the fullscreen viewer. It's also possible to filter on ratings so it's easy to find exactly what you are looking for
· Synchronize Disk and Catalog (Database): ShotKeeper can synchronize the database and the folders, on disk, that there has been imported photos from. So if photos are copied to the folders manually, or manually deleted it is updated in ShotKeeper too.
· Can use multible catalogs (databases): It is possible to use multible catalogs, so you can organize things better. Like a catalog for each customer, or for each hobby.
· Easy to use interface: We have put a lot work into making a fast to use innovative user interface, that will work for both the amateur and for the professional photographer.
· Unlimited number of categories: There is no limit for the mumber of categories you can make, neither for the mumber of child categories in each category.
· Photos can be in multible categories: A single photo can be in multible categories. This does not take up extra space, as the photo is not copied into each category, only references in the database are stored.
· Can show histograms for photos: ShotKeeper includes a floating window, that be visible all the time, which shows a histogram using curves for both intensity and red, green and blue.
· Shows properties like filename and EXIF info (if avaliable): Like the histogram, the photo properties is also shown in a floating window that can be visible all the time. Photo properties inclused EXIF info, Caption and Comments and the ability to rename files.
· Can save caption and comments for each photo: In the photo properties window you can enter a caption and comments for each photo. these can be searched later on, for finding just that special photo.
· Thumbnail View for easy browsing through photos: The mail view in ShotKeeper is the thumbnail view, showing all the thumbnails that is valid for the current selection/search. The thumbnails can be resized in real time, so you can always have hte size that fits your eye-sight best.
· Export photos: Photos can be exported in different formats, and sizes.
· Rotate Photos If your camera includes information about the orientation of the photo, ShotKeeper automatically shows the photo in the right orientation, if not, you can tell ShotKeeper to rotate the photo for you. For JPEG this is done using an lossless algorithm, so the photo quality is not degraded.
