GraphPad InStat is a lightweight cross-platform utility built specifically for helping you analyze data with the use of statistical tests.
The program offers step-by-step assistance throughout the entire process, and you are required to specify the type of data you want to analyze, namely comparison of multiple groups, regression and correlation tests, or contingency table evaluation, as well select the data entry format.
Depending on what tests you want to perform, the application bundles some dedicated parameters for each category. You can insert data for multiple groups in a table, and cut, copy, paste, or delete the selected information, as well as add or remove cells.
What’s more, GraphPad InStat gives you the possibility to import information from files with the following formats: CSV, DAT, PRN or plain text file, and embed notes in a simple text editor.
Other important features enable users to view summary statistics (e.g. sample size, standard deviation), choose between different tests (e.g. ANOVA, standard or nonparametric methods), as well as generate results, and view them graphically represented.
The generated data can be exported to a plain text file, printed, or copied to the Clipboard. The program remains light on the system resources, so it doesn’t hamper computer performance, nor interfere with other applications’ functionality.
All things considered, GraphPad InStat is suitable for comparing small pieces of information, as it doesn’t come packed with advanced features (e.g. polynomial regression, cluster analysis, logistic regression) for helping you handle a large database.
