InScribe

InScribe is an application designed to bring you a customizable on screen keyboard that you can use anytime you want.

It displays a user-friendly interface and allows you to position it anywhere on the screen. Initially, its default size is readable, but, if you need to, the window that contains the keyboard can be resized.

Sometimes, when enlarging the window, some of the buttons overlap and multiply in a manner that makes the InScribe keyboard unusable. To solve this, you simply minimize and restore it, then everything should be in order. It’s a small glitch that you get used to.

InScribe is also transparent when you use it. The transparency is adjustable which means that you can choose to view what is beneath the keyboard or not. In case you want to take a look from time to time, you have a “ghost” feature that once you activate the window becomes almost entirely transparent. Moreover, while this is toggled, you can move and access any file that is located under the main window of InScribe.

The application also comes with a number of predefined layouts that fit well with various types of uses. You can choose between full QWERTY, email orientated, numpad, QWERTY lite and special characters.

Besides the previously mentioned features, InScribe also stands out when it comes to little details. You can change the font style and color, as well as have it highlight the vowels. It’s touches like these that make it even more practical.

If you find that the keyboards made available by the application are too complex or lack certain keys, you can open up the ‘Layout Designer’ and create your own layout which you can save and use when you see fitted.
