LessonsLearnedServer offers a knowledgebase central for a company to collect fast and store unstructured information - in the form of textual content, answered questions, documented techniques, resolved problems, articles, documents, white papers, images, etc. - and intelligently exploring and retrieving that information.

LessonsLearnedServer streamlines those tasks through a sophisticated and yet simple intuitive web-interface that provides a flexible hierarchical structure of information storage supported by a powerful background service for handling the lengthy tasks of data extraction, indexing and retrieval.

LessonsLearnedServer is a powerful multi-user knowledge-base software that streamlines the collection and sharing of valuable knowledge within an organization through four related operations:

Store
Provide rich text content using WYSIWYG editing. Associate documents with information content. Store valuable digital assets including images, documents, white papers, research, media files, presentations, legal templates ... to name a few.

Organize
Create an information repository for each informative entity within your organization using Information Profiles. Arrange information content into multi-level hierarchies. Layout images, format text, insert tables, associate documents with content all in one simple interface.

Browse
Browse the different information hierarchies within each information profile. View documents, images, content. Interact by leaving comments and notification. Identify a specific piece of content globally across the system using the Global Identifier (xx#xxx format).

Search
Real-time indexing of information content. Support for complicated search constructs including Boolean, Phrase and Proximity queries, Relevance Ranking, Partial Result Sets, Wild Cards, Date Range Operation, Term Boosting and Word Stemming, in addition to text sampling and highlighting of search results. Supports terabytes of content scalability with < 1s response times.

Requirements:


Server Machine:
· Database Server * MySQL 4.1.0+
· Web Server : Apache 1.3.2+ preferred (or any web-server running PHP).
· Web Engine : PHP 4.3.0+

Hosting Requirements (Incase it is being hosted):
· Background Service Your hosting should allow you to run a background service listening on a dedicated port (defaults to port 1978).
