Advanced text analysis
· One of the most difficult exercises is to efficiently query text fields contained in a database. ZeBAze offers you two different text processes to solve this problem :
· The first process, really simple to use, allows you to define a list of good words and bad words for any text field : the search engine will only return the database rows in which this field's value contains at least one of the good words and none of the bad words. You can define complete sentences instead of single words.
· The second process uses regular expressions (regex), one of the most advanced text analysis tools. ZeBAze allows you to combine as many regex patterns as needed, linking them with OR and AND NOT operators, all inside an easy-to-use interface. Note that date and number fields can also be queried using regex patterns.

Display or write your search results
· When using ZeBAze to query your database you have two different ways to handle your search results :

· The first option displays the results on a new screen window and allows you to visualize the data in a table with several options to sort, rearrange or print the results. You have the possibility to create several windows with different search criteria in order to easily compare the different search results returned by ZeBAze.

· The second option allows you to write the search results directly into your database. This allows you to use them again with ZeBAze to create a new segmentation, or integrate the search results within your own processes with one of your in-house applications or third-party solutions.

Virtually works with any database
· To establish a connection with any kind of database, spreadsheet table or structured text file, ZeBAze uses Sun's JDBC technology, a connectivity mechanism that allows external applications (like ZeBAze) to communicate directly with a database.

· JDBC drivers are available for almost every brand of database and can be provided by your database vendor or any third-party company. You also have the possibility to use a Jdbc-Odbc Bridge that allows any ODBC driver to be used as a JDBC driver. So if your database can be connected to a JDBC or ODBC driver, which is true for 99% of the databases on the market, you will be able to query your database with ZeBAze.

· In every case the documentation of ZeBAze will help and guide you on a step-by-step basis to choose and install your driver. An assistant allows you to quickly connect to a Microsoft Access database or Excel file.
