FontViewer is a very basic piece of software that does exactly what its name says: it allows you to view the installed fonts with minimum effort.
The simple built-in features shouldn’t get you too much trouble, so FontViewer can be safely installed by both beginners and more experienced users.
Only basic computer knowledge is needed, which is indeed very good news, especially given the fact that FontViewer is only supposed to show you the installed fonts and nothing more.
All fonts are listed in a plain and simple layout, with the common style options placed in the same window. You can enable bold, italic and underline, but also adjust size with just a few clicks.
Especially useful if you wish to preview the fonts in a specific folder on your computer, FontViewer doesn’t launch on Windows 7, but it works fine on all the other Windows versions.
Obviously, a decent hardware configuration should be enough to be able to run this app, as it doesn’t affect the overall computer performance in any way.
All things considered, FontViewer is the kind of app that has very slight chances to impress in such a crowded market. There are tons of font viewers out there, so unless it comes with something really innovative, it’s pretty difficult to become a successful product.
As far as FontViewer is concerned, it’s just a very simple app that does nothing more than to show you the installed fonts and at the same time to provide the essential options to customize them.
