PigFontViewer

Written in C++, PigFontViewer enables you to preview all fonts installed on your computer. This is a plain and simple software application that doesn't feature any advanced options or configuration settings, making it accessible even to casual PC users.

After a fast setup operation that shouldn't give you any trouble, you're greeted by a user-friendly interface. It consists of a large window with three panes for viewing fonts in the default installed directory and custom folders. You can write sample text to preview it while cycling through different fonts.

The font is changed as soon as you make a new selection. As far as options are concerned, they become available when opening the right-click menu. It's possible to remove installed fonts from the computer, install the ones from custom directories, and select the whole sample text to copy it to the Clipboard.

As we expected, PigFontViewer didn't put a strain on the overall performance of the machine, thanks to the fact that it needed low CPU and RAM to work properly. On the other hand, it prompted an error dialog and crashed when attempting to install some fonts.

We must also take into account that it hasn't been updated for a very long time, and its seems to be discontinued. You are likely to come across stability issues when trying to run the program on newer Windows editions.

To wrap it up, PigFontViewer proved to be an unstable tool in our tests. It doesn't look like it's going to get updated in the near future, and its current set of features is light. Nevertheless, you can give it a shot to find out whether or not it works for you.
