You are welcomed by a multi-tabbed interface that offers you quick access to the main functions of the program: Journal Article, Book Ref, Web Page, and Email Ref. Each of the aforementioned categories comes with its own dedicated parameters for helping you tweak the process in detail.
Generating Harvard references
Harvard Reference Tool gives you the possibility to build up the references for a journal article by providing information about the author, title of the article, title of the journal, year of publication, volume, part, and pages.
As soon as you have finished with filing in the necessary information, you can push the “Generate” button for viewing the reference displayed in the primary panel. Additionally, you are allowed to copy the information to the clipboard, so you can easily paste it into other third-party programs. Similar dedicated parameters are also embedded for the book, webpage, and email references.
Since it doesn’t bundle any configuration settings, the entire process seems nothing but a child’s play. During our testing we have noticed that Harvard Reference Tool carries out a task quickly and without errors. It is quite friendly with system resources, so the overall performance of the computer is not hampered.
All in all, Harvard Reference Tool comes bundled with some handy parameters for helping you build up references that are based on the Harvard Reference System.
