As its name suggests, Quran Auto Reciter provides you with a simple method for listening to the Holy Quran at specified times. Especially designed for Muslims who are away from their home country, the application can remind you of the prayer times, no matter where you are.
The main interface is rather crowded, comprising all the options in a single window. It displays information about the current date and time for your location and the recitation settings.
The application comes with several reciters that you can choose from, in English, Arabic or Urdu language, but you can also add your own recitation files in MP3 format, either from your local PC or from the Internet.
Recitation scheduling options are also available, which means that the program starts reading the Holy Book at a predefined time in the future. By default, the Quran passage is played only once, but a repeating option is also available.
In addition to this, Quran Auto Reciter can be used for ringing the Athan (Azan), which is the traditional call-to-prayer. It runs discreetly in the system tray and it plays the user-defined notification sound when the clock reaches one of the five prayer times (Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib or Isha). A specific sound is associated with every prayer time, but you can also be alerted by an Athan sound of your choice.
The program includes a section where you can read the Quran in different languages. The font type (Arabic calligraphy styles are included) and size are customizable and English translations are included, together with a text transliteration, to help you learn word pronunciation.
All in all, Quran Auto Reciter is a handy application that can help Muslims listen and read the Quran and hear the traditional Athan at exact times.
