The concept of Repertoire is quite simple. Repertoire is designed to enable a musician to easily recall an endless number of songs from his library and either view them on screen while playing or print them out for other members of the band.
Even though Repertoire is a software running on Microsoft Windows and uses the standard mouse click style functions.....ALL viewing functions are easily accessed without the aid of a mouse. I've been a musician myself for many years. I realize how hard it is to hold/play your instrument, sing and still try to operate (one handed) a computer.
Repertoire was designed for use with a Laptop. Many laptops have the infamous pencil eraser style mouse pointer. Add a hard to use "thumb bar" clicker and it is NOT something you can easily manipulate while concentrating on what you really should be doing.... singing.
REPERTOIRE is designed to read ''standard text files''. These files conventionally have the Extension of ''TXT''. STANDARD text files contain a ''Hard Carriage Return'' at the end of each line. Most output from ''OCR Programs'' output in this format. Also much of what you can find on the Internet is easily ''Captured'' to the clipboard and then can be ''dumped'' directly into our editor (or the Windows Wordpad.exe program).
If you load a file and only see a line or two, then you can presume the file does not contain Hard Carriage Returns. The ''fix'' for this problem is to load your file into a program such as ''Wordpad.exe'' program, (Supplied with Windows) - edit it (add a space somewhere) - and resave it as a text file (Extension of "TXT").
