Verbes is a lightweight and intuitive piece of software serving an educational function for French learners, as it offers you the ability to quickly discover how to conjugate verbs in all the tenses.

The utility displays a fairly practical and minimalistic user interface, which makes it unlikely to cause difficulties in using, even to IT novices.

The main window of Verbes is split into three main sections; a text field allows you to input the word you need to conjugate, while in the left-side panel, alphabetically-close entries are listed; the center-stage is taken by the various forms of the French verbs.

The program lists all entries in alphabetical order, allowing you to navigate around them by means of the ‘Back’ and ‘Forward’ arrows. You can also access the tree view in the left-side panel and browse through existing verbs, clicking the one whose conjugations you wish to study.

The application retrieves the closest match and displays all of its forms in the indicative, subjunctive, conditional, participle, imperative and infinitive, with their respective tenses. The tool emphasizes the tense, person and group-relative terminations, so you can better learn the pattern for each one. Information about each verb can be copied to clipboard and pasted into a different document, but individual entries cannot be saved or exported to a local file.
