WYO Home Inventory (formerly What You Own Home Inventory)
Keeping track of your inventory does not only come in handy when managing a business but is also useful at home. This can be done in various ways, one of which being a computer application like WYO Home Inventory. It's a simple utility that gives you the possibility to create a record of any item in your house, as well as the cost to buy or replace.
An intuitive and user friendly interface
The workspace provided cleverly combines good looks with easy access to any tools needed to start managing your home inventory. A side panel provides a quick access point to any room you created or item category.
Adding elements is as easy as following a few steps and filling up several fields you wish to be displayed. Selected elements are visible in the sufficiently large space, along with every given detail.
Create a house and fit it with rooms
In order to keep track of your items easier, the application's browsing panel displays your current house along with any rooms you added. Moreover, a default donation room is available in case you no longer need certain items and want to give them away. Unfortunately, only one house can be added per file, so in case you own multiple houses you need to work with separate documents.
Each room you add brings up a new window were you are required to specify a name, notes you might want to include and also the possibility to import pictures or attachments that can be text documents and media files.
Fill rooms with items
Next thing you might want to do is actually start creating an inventory. Switching to the category view in the navigation panel reveals numerous predefined ones, all of them being empty.
When you create a new item, you can specify a name, price tag and purchasing place and details, as well as the room and category it is stored in. Similar to the room creation process, you can import an image file and add attachments.
To sum it up, WYO Home Inventory is an easy way to manage and organize items in your home. Unfortunately, you can only get a detailed view on items, with no possibility of minimizing them. This is not a big problem though, because an integrated search engine lets you quickly find anything you need.
