Windows Bible is a simple software application that includes the Bible (King James version) along with pictures and trivia, plus other useful tools.
The installation procedure is quick and does not need special input from the user. Its interface has outdated elements but it is well-organized. You can explore chapters of the Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, and so on.
It is possible to set bookmarks, use a search function, play trivia, navigate keywords and find their occurrences in the chapters, view a dictionary, create and open notes, as well as view and edit picture colors.
Windows Bible automatically saves the new settings on exit, but you can disable this option. Furthermore, you can customize font properties when it comes to family, size and emphasis. There are no other notable options provided by this tool.
The application runs on a very low quantity of CPU and RAM, so it does not put a strain on computer performance. Unfortunately, it cannot be minimized to the taskbar or system tray area, so the tool becomes intrusive when not using it. It crashed out of the blue once during our tests, when we selected a new chapter (on Windows 7).
All in all, Windows Bible comes in handy to all people who want to study the Bible on their computer. It includes an intuitive set of options that do not require previous software experience, making it accessible to everyone. However, we must take into account that it has not been updated for a while, though.
