Will search an English dictionary for words matching any configuration you ask for

The WordStudy application was designed to search an English dictionary for words matching any configuration you ask for. You can find all the words containing certain letters, discover whether any words exist that have a J, a K, and a Z (there are five). Or you can get some help making words out of seven random scrabble tiles.

Does a Q ever occur next to a W? (It does if QWERTY counts). Are there more words that have at least one E in them than all the words with no Es? (Yes, there are more than twice as many with Es).

Simply type the letters you wish found, and press GO. All the words containing those letters (in any order) will be listed. If you want words with more than one of the same letter, then enter that letter as many times as you want it found. Example: If you want to find all words that have at least four 'R's in them, then enter 'R' four times in the letter boxes.

If you wish to find a letter or letters in certain positions, then check the 'position lock' box each letter you want found exactly in the position you entered it. Example: To find all words that have a 'P' as the second letter, make sure the 'P' is in the second box and the 'position lock' box beside it is checked.
