ttkb - touch type keyboard is an easy to use, on-screen keyboard designed to help in learning how to touch type. Touch typing is typing without using the sense of sight to find the keys.
This tool is not a full touch type trainer or tutor. But it may help the user in learning to touch type properly by displaying permanently the image of a keyboard on the monitor. The keys are highlighted differently according to the fingers that are supposed to press them.
The idea is that the user should not by any chance look on his fingers on the keyboard. Instead, as long as being unsure, he can use the on-screen keyboard to remember which finger to use for which key.
Here are some key features of "ttkb - touch type keyboard":
· Display on-screen keyboard permanently in the foreground.
· Scale keyboard to various sizes to take up less space on the screen.
· Use HotKey to scale keyboard (default: AltGr-s).
· Move keyboard out of way by simply clicking and dragging it.
· Use HotKeys to move keyboard (AltGr-Cursor).
· Hide keyboard any time by double clicking on it.
· Use HotKey to hide/show keyboard (default: AltGr-k).
· Highlight pressed keys.
· Choose colors and other settings from options dialog.
