AWC BPM Counter

WC BPM Counter is a lightweight piece of software that can calculate the beats per minute based on the keys you hit on every beat. It features a simple set of options that can be tackled with ease by all types of users.

The tool's packed in just one executable file you can save to a custom directory on the computer or transfer to a USB flash drive to run it on any PC with little effort.

No new entries are inserted into the system registry, and no files are created on the disk without your permission. To get rid of the program, you just have to delete the .exe.

The look of the interface makes it clear that the software product hasn't received updates for a long time. Even so, we didn't have any trouble getting the compact tool to run on newer Windows iterations in our tests, without having to troubleshoot compatibility mode for older versions.

WC BPM Counter has a single window that shows all options put at your disposal. You can specify the number of seconds to count down from, during which you can keep clicking a large button to record strokes whenever you hear a beat while playing the audio file in question.

When time's up, the tool auto-calculates and displays the BPM based on the keystrokes and period. The system time is shown too. Besides the fact that you can reset the counter with one click, there are no other noteworthy options available.

Unsurprisingly, the program didn't hog system resources in our tests, using a low amount of CPU and RAM. Thanks to its straightforward GUI and settings, WC BPM Counter can be handled even by inexperienced users looking to compute BPM based on manually inputted keystrokes as well as time.
