Arc-Flash-Analytic software tool has been developed based on IEEE 1584 Guide for Performing Arc-Flash Hazard Calculations as an easy to use and comprehensive instrument for calculating arc incident energy, flash protection boundary, determining limited, restricted and prohibited approach boundaries and risk category required by N.E.C and OSHA when work is to be performed on or near the energized equipment. The program allows to calculate initial pressure generated by arc blast and arc flash TNT ( Tri Nitro Toluen / Trotyl ) equivalent.
Limitations:
· Options menu with Label Format and Units options have been de-activated in demo version. Therefore, units of measurement cannot be adjusted and information displayed on label cannot be customized until you register the program.
· Equipment Class, System Voltage drop down boxes have been deactivated in IEEE 1584 Empirical Model screen and limited to Switchgear and 600V respectively.
· Current limiting fuse range was intentionally limited to Class RK1 Fuse, 0A to 100A only in Fuse Equation Mode
· Breaker Type was limited to MCCB-100-400 only when in LV Circuit Breaker Mode.
