Keyboard Remapper allows you to quickly redefine what a key-combination should do.

Keyboard Remapper was designed in order to meet specific needs and from there results its advantages and limitations:

· You do not have to run a Setup and install the program. Just download the archive, unpack it where you want and start the program. It works out of the box.
· Keyboard Remapper is very fast and efficient making sure it does not over use your CPU.
· Keyboard Remapper is very small so that will not eat-up you memory (RAM).
· Very easy to use. No advanced interface, no hidden features, no need to learn anything. In two simple steps you first define the key or key(s) that you what to assign a function to and then you will chose what that function will be. As simple as that.
· No need to uninstall. If you do not want to use the program anymore just stop it and then remove the files from your hard drive.
· Quick enable/disable of the software. No need to reboot your machine or restart the program. If needed you can just temporarily disable it.

We wanted to create a tool that is simple, small, fast and does exactly what it is ment to do. Keyboard Remapper purpose is not to be a complete or advanced tool. If you need more options and features there are a lot of other programs out there that may suit you.

BUT if all that you need is to just redefine what a key does, or simply replace a broken key with another one and you what to do that now, fast and without spending time in learning new stuff, then Keyboard Remapper is the tool for you. We have kept the interface and the software as simple as possible.

Here are some key features of "Keyboard Remapper":

· Disable a key or a key combination. This is most useful for gamers :). In this case you may want to disable the Left and Right Windows Keys so that you will not get out of the game when you press them by mistake. You can also disable the Alt+Tab combination if it creates problems for your gaming experience. IMPORTANT: The program does not intercept the Ctrl+Alt+Delete combination nor the Power Key on your Keyboard.
· Go To a specific URL. If you visit a web site very often, one way to access it quick with you default browser is to define a key combination for it. This software lets you do just that.
· You can easily define key combinations that will launch specific programs. The could be programs that you use often and you need quick access to them such as: notepad, calculator or any other one that you like :). Define a key combination for it, and you will no longer search for its shortcut.
· If your work at the computer involves typing a piece of text over and over (like your name, current date, address and so on) you can define a key combination that will type that text for you. Please note that this different from the usual Copy/Paste process, because the text is not kept in the clipboard is its always available. You can not overwrite it by mistake :). This feature can be used to replace a broken key with another one or with a key combination.
· Change key with another key: allows games to change controls or save/load keys for games that do not allow that. Also you can assign keys on your keyboard to Mute/Unmute or turn the volume up and down for your sound card.
· Keyboard Remapper can now change ONE key to a complex KEY COMBINATION. For example Esc may be set to Alt+F4 to quicly close your windows. Or F1 can be mapped to produce Ctrl+C or even Ctrl+Shift+Space.


Limitations:

· The number of key combinations you can define is restricted to 2 in the free edition.
· In order to be able to use the complete edition you must purchase an activation code.

· Block a key from your keyboard. This is different from disable key. If you disable "A" you will not be able to type "A". But you will be able to select all text in notepad with "Ctrl A". Also "Shift A" will continue to work.
· The new feature called Block Key will completely silence the key. So, in our example, if you disable "A" with "Block Key" all key combinations containing "A" will STOP working. This "removes" the key from your keyboard.
