Carry It Easy U3

Carry it Easy U3 is a simple-to-use software application that permits you to rapidly store browser bookmarks, Windows Mail messages, files and other types of data on a U3 smart drive that you can take with you everywhere you go while keeping all your important information nearby.

After a brief and uncomplicated setup procedure, you are greeted by a user-friendly interface made from a common-looking window that has all main components spread across multiple panes: Internet options, Windows Mail, file synchronization, security settings, device information, along with USB device lost and found.

It's possible to create or update bookmarks from Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox in three ways: from the computer to the smart drive, vice versa, or both (data sync).

Windows Mail can be made portable by selecting the local identity to back up while including or excluding messages, message rules, signatures, the blocked sender list, accounts and settings, together with the address book and calendar. You can create as many backups as you want, manage them, and run them from the portable device directly.

Similarly, it's possible to synchronize folders or entire drives, password-protect data using the 128-AES security algorithm, administer encrypted data, examine device information (name, size, serial number and security settings) and Carry it Easy U3 details (e.g. last sync date, total space used, space available), as well as to input contact info in case you lose your smart drive and someone else finds it.

The tool worked smoothly in our tests, without hanging, crashing or displaying error dialogs. It had minimal impact on computer performance, running on low CPU and RAM. Unfortunately, it hasn't been updated for a pretty long time. Other than that, Carry it Easy U3 comes loaded with handy security features to help you store personal data on a smart drive to keep it close.
