WeatherInfo Portable

This is the portable edition of WeatherInfo, a simple-to-use software program that informs you of the weather forecast in your current location. It comes packed with a simple set of options that can be easily configured, even by those with little or no experience in such tools.

Since there is no installation involved, you can save the program files to any part of the hard disk and just click the executable to run.

Another possibility is to move WeatherInfo Portable to a USB flash disk or similar storage unit, in order to run it on any PC with minimum effort, provided that it has .NET Framework installed.

The app does not modify Windows registry settings, nor create extra files on the hard disk, leaving it clean after removal.

WeatherInfo Portable does not put too much emphasis on visual appeal. Instead, it adopts a classical window split into three main areas, dedicated to current and forecast details, along with configurable options, respectively.

You can view your location's current details regarding observation time, weather type, temperature, wind direction, pressure, visibility, cloud coverage, and others, together with forecast information on the following days (e.g. low and high temperature, precipitation, wind speed).

It is possible to change the current country and city, specify the checkup frequency, modify the measurement unit, record all activity to log files, as well as ask WeatherInfo Portable to automatically run at Windows boot and to start minimized, among others.

The tool is undemanding when it comes to CPU and RAM, so it does not affect the PC's overall performance. We have not come across any stability issues in our tests, as it did not hang, crash or pop up error dialogs. It sits quietly in the system tray area when minimized, so it does not interrupt normal user activity. WeatherInfo Portable serves its purpose.
