Pocket K-Meleon is the portable version of K-Meleon, a simple web browser that focuses on speed.
The interface of the application is minimalistic and user-friendly. Pocket K-Meleon supports multiple tabs.
So, you can open the previous session, save the current page as an HTML file and enable the option to work offline.
In addition, you can use a search function, create and manage multiple profiles, as well as access browser, mouse gesture and accelerators configuration.
Furthermore, you can zoom in and out (page, text or images), select the encoding method, as well as view all links, images and linked images found in the current webpage, the source code and cache information.
Moreover, you can switch to full screen mode, create and organize bookmarks and favorites, save layers (i.e. tabs) as a group, as well as quickly access various tools like a translator, search engines, related to privacy (e.g. block images and popups, clear cache), hotlinks, and others.
The program takes up a moderate-to-high amount of system resources and includes a FAQ page. However, we have noticed some issues with this tool.
For example, you cannot use the "select all" hotkey in the search bar. Plus, we could not access "User Settings" (clicking the option didn't do anything) and have encountered multiple Shockwave Flash errors (the web browser crashed once after this popup).
But the biggest downside to Pocket K-Meleon is the fact that you can configure accelerators, macros, mouse gestures and other similar tools, only if you are a power user who knows how to edit their code. Otherwise, there's nothing you can do in this matter.
Overall, Pocket K-Meleon is a fast web browser that comes packed with both useful features and technical problems. We can only suggest you test this software for yourself.
