With the Internet quickly spreading to most places on Earth, the information superhighway almost instantly became the place to be, in spite of any attractive activity that doesn’t involve a PC. Storage space also got enhanced, and applications like Rightload Portable let you upload files to them with a few mouse clicks.
As the name suggests, this is the edition of Rightload you don’t have to install on your computer, because it can run from a USB Flash drive as well, without making any adjustments to the system’s registries. Resource consumption is minimal, with the only thing to remember is to run it with administrator privileges so it can toss files through the Firewall without any issues.
When it comes to aesthetics, the application keeps everything simple, so you don’t get confused, considering you get to upload personal files over, or through the web. A large area stores all of the files you added, along with info like name, size, and status, with the possibility to drag files in that space. Other than that, there’s the server selection drop-down menu, and a button to start upload.
Besides portability, the application has another major advantage, namely server support. There are a few presets available, such as Facebook, Flickr, or Imageshack, but you can easily add a lot more by writing down login credentials and address. Several dedicated options let you set type of file transfer, URL tags, as well as actions for file issues.
If you’re mostly planning to upload your pictures on Facebook, there’s a built-in option to automatically convert them to a specific size and quality, whether or not to generate thumbnails, and a few more.
The application can be set to close once a download session is finished, or on the contrary, have the destination URL brought up for preview if possible. Careful tweaking gives you the possibility to add an entry to the context menu to quickly upload more files, with less effort.
Taking everything into consideration, we can say that Rightload Portable is a simple, practical solution to quickly upload multiple files to a custom, or popular server. Customization lets you neatly organize and select server lists, while the whole process of choosing files and uploading only depends on your Internet connection.
