LinkChecker Portable

LinkChecker Portable is a software utility which lets individuals easily check websites for broken links and export results to the computer, with support for formats such as HTML, TXT, CSV and XML.

This is the portable counterpart of LinkChecker, and therefore you can skip the installation process. An important consequence is the fact that the Windows registry and Start menu/screen are not going to be affected in any way by LinkChecker Portable.

Aside from that, this tool can be used on any computer you have access to, by simply placing the program files to a USB flash drive, or other similar portable storage device.

All you have to do in order to analyze a website is input a URL and click the “Start” button. All the URLs checked are going to be displayed as a list, along with information such as parent, name and result.

In addition to that, after the scan is finished there are other data you can view, such as check time, size of website, number of valid and invalid URLs, and warnings. It is also possible to see statistics pertaining to content type (number of images, texts, applications, audio, video, mail) and links (minimum, maximum and average length, number of domains).

In our tests, the scanning process has used quite a lot of the computer resources, yet you should know this also depends on the size of the website you are checking.
