RSSOwl Portable is a small Windows application designed specifically for helping you read and manage RSS, RDS and Atom feeds.

Since this is the portable version of the program, it is important to mention that it doesn’t leave any traces in the Windows Registry.

You can copy it on any USB flash drive or other devices, and take it with you whenever you need to work with a news aggregator on the breeze, without having to go through installation steps.

RSSOwl Portable features a multi-tabbed layout that allows you to read and work with different feeds at the same time. The utility provides information about each feed, namely headline, date when it was published, author, and category.

What’s more, you can save your favorite feeds, so you can quickly access them, click on the feed for reading the entire content, mark feeds as unread or mark all of them as read, reload the selected one, as well as export the current one to RTF, PDF or HTML file format.

The app gives you the possibility to add a new favorite feed by providing details about the URL and title, picking a category from several preset examples (e.g. Business, Computers, Education, Entertainment, Music) or creating a new one, and automatically updating the info every minute or hour.

You may rename or delete favorite entries, copy links to the clipboard, import/export data from/to OPML file format, view a history with recently accessed items, discover newsfeeds on a website, as well as perform search operations looking in the entire database, headline, description, category, or author.
