ExifToolGUI

ExifToolGUI is graphical interface developed for the ExifTool software application. It allows you to view the EXIF information of image files.

In order for this app to work, you must have ExifTool installed on your system. This is a portable program, so installing ExifToolGUI is not necessary. It means that you can store the app on a USB flash drive or any other removable device, save it to any computer and directly run its executable file.

What's more important is that the Windows Registry is not updated with new entries, and no leftover files can be found on the hard drive after program removal. Plus, you can carry ExifToolGUI in your pocket whenever you're on the move.

Thanks to the Explorer-based layout, you can seamlessly navigate and locate image files, as well as preview them within the main frame. On the right side of the screen, you can check out EXIF, XMP, IPTC and Maker information, as well as all or user-defined fields.

You can import or export metadata information, extract the preview images from the selected items, make ExifToolGUI ignore minor metadata errors, view tag values as numbers, set a prefix to tag names with the ID number, as well as group tags by instance.

On top of that, you can modify the EXIT date/time shift and equalizer along with LensInfo from Makernotes, aside from removing all metadata from the selected files. From the "Preferences" area, you may also pick the metadata language, default startup folder and export metadata folder, among others.

The program runs on a moderate amount of system resources and has a good response time. No error dialogs have been displayed during our testing and ExifToolGUI did not hang or crash; we have not come across any issues. Due to its complex features, ExifToolGUI is primarily oriented toward advanced users.
