It comes with some interesting algorithms, but it also lacks some useful features.

As I've already mentioned above, this application reduces the clarity and sharpness of the photos. It does that to reduce their size on the drive, without compromising their aspect ratios or dimensions. Also, users can opt between different formats — JPG, PNG, GIF, and TIFF. Each of them comes with its one algorithm, so the program works differently for each format in part. But, in general, the app does the same thing — it adjusts the images' quality to compress them.

Launch the program and open an image file. The application will automatically reduce the size of the image to the optimal quality-to-size ratio. Evidently, you can reduce the quality of the photos even more. The ​​​​​​​JPG format is ideal to use when it comes to reducing a pic's size without losing its dimensions and aspect ratio. Note that it causes a reduction in image quality. Once you are happy with the results, click save, and you're done.

Optimizer for Images seems to work smoothly. At least, it indeed reduces the sizes of the images without altering their aspect ratios. But it lacks some essential features. First, there is no help section to give you tips on how to use each existing function in part, so you have to figure out by yourself. Besides that, there are no image editing features. At least some basic ones should've been introduced for the app to be complete. In conclusion, there are other programs out there that offer many functions besides compressing pics, and which are better than Optimizer for Images.
