QRGen

QRGen is a software tool that was developed specifically in order to help people generate QR codes and save them as images to the hard drive.

This application does not require you to go through the installation process, as it is portable. As a consequence, the Windows registry and Start menu/screen are not going to be updated with new entries, and no leftovers will remain behind after its removal from the drive.

This software tool enables you to generate a QR code for on a large number of elements. To be more precise, you can input a custom text, website address, SMS (phone number and actual message), e-mail, phone number, contact (name, address, organization, title, telephone, mail etc.), Wi-Fi information and even a BlackBerry Messenger PIN.

It is also possible to establish quality and adjust the margins and pixel size, preview the QR code, see the image size and save it to a custom location on the hard drive, as a PNG or BMP picture. Help contents are not integrated, yet it becomes quite clear they are not actually necessary, when considering how simple it is to use this utility.

To conclude, QRGen is a simple, yet efficient piece of software, dedicated to people interested in generating QR codes. Resource requirements are minimal, which means that the system’s performance is not going to be affected. Our tests did not reveal any kind of crashes or errors, and it is suitable to all user categories.
