Snappy Portable

Capturing an image of your desktop is usually a job that, if done with methods available in Widows (such as PrintScreen+Paint or Snipping Tool), can take too long. Snappy Portable is a program that mixes in the advantages of a screenshot utility with those of an image editor.

The software comes with a light interface, split between the image list, the snapshot preview and the photo editing tools.

Snappy Portable lets you take multiple types of shots, such as a screen grab of the entire desktop, the active window, an area of your screen or a certain object.

The software enables users to customize pictures by adding objects, such as boxes, speech bubbles, red circles, cursors, text and even other images. All objects can be resized, flipped and rotated with the help of a few buttons displayed on the interface.

From the main frame, you can adjust various picture attributes, such as the colors, brightness, grayscale and gamma values. The software also supports extensive effects, such as Sharpen, Mosaic, Emboss, shadows, borders and transparency masks.

Snappy Portable also allows keyboard shortcuts for all capture options. You can customize these from the Settings menu, where you can also choose to include the cursor in the screenshots and define the capture delay options.

The software supports various output file formats, such as BMP, JPEG, PNG, PDF, XML and AVI.

The fact of the matter is that Snappy Portable is a useful program, with plenty of tools. Inexperienced users should find this app easy to work with thanks to the intuitive interface.
