Nowadays, even your mobile phone can take outstanding pictures and deliver them in high-quality and large resolutions. The higher the resolution, the better it can fit on large surfaces, without losing it’s quality or look pixelated. For instance, posters benefit from large pictures, and you can build your own with applications like X-PosteRazor.

Before you go off checking the application’s set of features, you might want to know that this is the edition of PosteRazor that can be used on the go. However, it’s not the official Portable PosteRazor, so you might want to keep an eye there, if you’re interested in latest updates or versions, with a high chance for this one to fall behind.

The overall process takes you through a few wizard-driven steps, at the end of which you get to see your poster saved to file. First of all, there needs to be a picture loaded in order to convert to a poster, but you need to rely on the built-in browse dialog, because dragging them over the main window has no effect. What’s more, you can only work with one picture at a time.

It’s a good idea to carefully choose the image you want, because the preview is only shown in the first step, where the file loads, and a little closer to the end. The page needs to be configured right after you load a picture, with the possibility to choose from standard formats, or manually specify size value of the sheet that’s going to be printed on.

The application doesn’t limit you to a single page. In other words, you can configure specific settings in order to split the target picture into multiple regions to match width or height, and each region is printed as an individual page, so you can later on assemble the whole poster. When done, a PDF file is generated according to specifications.

Bottom line is that pictures represent a lot of our modern, visual world, playing important roles in decoration and publicity. X-PosteRazor wants to make it easy for you to build a poster out of any image on your computer. However, it could have used even basic editing options, since it can only take a picture, split it in more parts, and save to PDF.
