A lightweight media player that can record streaming to hard disk

editor's review

Media players are a must-have for all those who love music and movies. Portable Fusion Media Player is a lightweight program that was designed to stream, record and play media files.

The app has a simple interface that should be easy to figure out, thanks to the intuitive layout.

As mention, the app can play a wide range of file formats, both video and audio. File association can be adjusted from the program’s interface. Thus, you may automatically use the app to open AVI, MPG, MPEG, WMV, DAT, MP3, WAV, ASF, MID, WMA, CDA, PLS, IFO and OGG. If you change your mind, unregistering these file associations is extremely easy and only requires that you push a single button.

You may open various types of files, as well as URLs and playlists. When a URL is opened, you can fire up the recording feature of the app. It can record the favorite streaming content directly to the hard disk in CD quality.

The program can be set to always be on top of other frames, which means it should be easy to spot regardless of the apps you have running on the computer.

Since the app is completely portable, it doesn’t need to be installed to the computer and can be launched from all types of removable devices, such as flash drives, USB HDDs and other media.

All in all, Portable Fusion Media Player is a nice program that can be easy to handle, thanks to the intuitive layout and its overall simplicity.
