Portable PDFproducer is an application which allows you to convert text documents to the PDF format.
Since this is a portable product, installing Portable PDFproducer is not necessary. You can simply store it on a USB flash drive and directly run its executable file on any computer. More importantly, your Windows registry keys will remain intact.
The interface of the application is based on a standard window in which you have few options at your disposal.
So, you can specify the input TXT file by using the file browser only, since the "drag and drop" function is not supported (and neither is batch processing).
Once you have selected the output directory and name, you can proceed with the conversion process.
But you can also edit PDF metadata, such as the author name, creator, keywords, subject and title. Furthermore, you can change the font style, size and angle.
The PDF conversion tool requires a low amount of system resources and quickly finishes a task without freezing, crashing or displaying errors. We haven't come across any difficulties during our tests. The text format in the PDF document is maintained at a very good quality.
However, since the program's title is "Portable PDFproducer", we would had expected it to support additional extensions besides TXT. Plus, the biggest disadvantage of the tool is the fact that it doesn't support batch processing.
Otherwise, Portable PDFproducer is simple to use by just about anyone with basic knowledge in word processing, so we recommend it to all individuals who are looking for a straightforward program.
